We recently printed The NoMad Reservoir, an eight-page newspaper we designed for The NoMad hotel. This free paper provides NoMad guests with stories about the hotel’s neighborhood. All the articles were written by the NoMad staff.

We are really proud to announce that the book we designed for Nigel Scott, entitled Conversation with Blue is now released. This 110 pages book presents a selection of 57 cyanotypes realized with an intention to bring us closer to the ocean.
“Nigel Scott is one of a handful of eminent contemporary photographers who have turned back the clock and invested much time and energy in nineteenth century photographic methods which by todays standards of digital imaging are considered time consuming and for some, pointless. Nigel, and these others, are photographers who see not only an image but a finely crafted print as the end product of each aesthetic journey…. An example in this book shows flowers arranged in the shape of a fish. For the most part the natural objects that Nigel utilizes, mostly flowers, ferns, leaves, are carefully chosen for their shape and occasional transparencies. The substrates on which the cyanotypes are realized — either top quality Arches paper or a variety of silks (fabrics), including a gold-coloured silk, are also carefully matched with the objects. All is arranged with the deft simplicity and precision of an ikebana artist.”

Malheureusement le 1erJanvier j’arrêterai de donner mes cours à l’ECV. Je manque cruellement de temps dans cette période de travail intense où les nouveaux projets se bousculent.
Ce genre de collaboration avec les élèves et l’énergie de ces journées là bas me manqueront. J’en ai tiré une force magnifique pendant 3 ans et je remercie chacun d’entre eux pour ces moments d’échanges et de créativités.
Je reviendrai à l’enseignement plus tard. Avec du temps…
Continuez à suivre l’expédition scientifique Tara Oceans. Le voilier entame sa deuxième année de tour du monde des océans. Le studio be-pôles est en charge de l’identité visuelle et du site internet depuis 2003.
